The Rigthline Edge Rooftop Cargo Bag # RL100S30 is a great choice and has been well received by customers. However, it doesn't have a locking feature.
Rightline does offer a cable lock # RL100640 to secure the bag to a roof rack as well as locking the bag closed through the zipper. If your vehicle does not have crossbars this lock will not secure it to the roof. In this case there isn't a specific product we have to lock the bag.

Adding anything to the roof of a vehicle is going to increase the drag and therefore the wind noise. There really isn't a way to avoid this.

Since your plan is to keep the cargo loaded on your vehicle while at a hotel you'll want to stick with a cargo box. The roof bags are convenient but they offer zero amount of security and someone can easily clip off the straps and run away with the bag like you said. The only way I can recommend a cargo bag is if you're able to store it inside the vehicle during the night.

The cross bars keep the bag from sliding forward and back on the vehicle roof during acceleration and braking and protect the vehicle roof from damage by keeping the bag stationary when installed. It is a good idea to use Rightline Non-Skid Roof Protection Pad # RL100650 with any rooftop cargo bag. The pad both helps hold the bag in place and also protects your roof's painted surface.

There are a few different sizes of the Yakima Mega Warrior, like the # Y07080, which is 52" x 48" wide.
